Helping accomplished women return to themselves through root-cause inner work.
I hold high-functioning women through the disorienting season that follows a cracking-open moment — back to themselves, and into the authority that was always theirs.
The women I work with are accomplished, self-aware, and deeply tired of the distance between who they know themselves to be and how they're actually living. This work doesn't offer strategies for that gap. It dissolves the patterns underneath it.
Why This Work Matters Now
There's a reason so many high-achieving women find themselves with insight they can't embody and clarity that keeps slipping through their fingers. The personal development industry often takes a symptoms approach - better habits, stronger mindset, more optimized routines - while leaving the root untouched.
The root is this: most women who struggle to trust themselves or live in alignment aren't lacking information. They're living out of patterns formed long before they had the language to question them - built in childhood, inherited across generations, layered over with cultural messaging about what it means to be a “good woman”.
My Background
The turning point came when the world shut down.
It was the fall of 2020. My toddler daughters were napping. I was sitting on the loveseat in the window of our old house and just cracked open Untamed by Glennon Doyle.
Three pages in and I felt the bottom drop out of my stomach. Because in that moment, I could see the whole timeline of my life- back through childhood, through the depression, through every experience of discomfort I'd accumulated - and it all made sense: I had been living in cages I'd never chosen, and I had never even known they were there.
I shut the book. I wasn't ready.
But I couldn’t unknow what I now knew.
Over the years that followed, everything started to shift. I went from calling myself the loneliest person in the world to being held by an abundance of deeply connected women in real community.
I went from second guessing every choice, not even sure that I could make important decisions for myself to making confident, moves easily.
Life got juicier. Deeper. More full. So good.
And I wanted other women to find their way to that.
I evolved out of a holistic nutrition practice and trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), feminine energetics, embodiment, and reclamation. I built spaces where women could be genuinely held, not fixed. Where sovereignty wasn't something I handed them, but something they remembered through our work together.
What makes my perspective different is not only what I've learned. It's what I've lived - in the void, in the cracking open, and in the returning.
Motherhood to four children, ages 8 to 1, has ensured I never get too far from the practice of losing myself and finding my way back. Over and over again.
Now I help high-achieving women who've outgrown their own patterns return to themselves - through root-cause IFS mentorship that goes beneath what conventional coaching reaches.
I’m Emma Mulvany, a Women's Empowerment Mentor, IFS-trained facilitator, and someone who has found her way home from a very long exile.
For over a decade, I lived with depression and anxiety.
I tried everything - medications, self-help books, spiritual teachers - searching for something that would make me feel like myself again.
Nothing worked. What I know now, and didn't have language for then, was that I wasn't sick. I was exiled from myself.
My Background
I've been facilitating women's spaces and one-on-one transformation work for over seven years. I'm a graduate of the IFS Institute’s Circle program which allows me to guide women to the root cause of their patterns - the early experiences and protective parts that contribute to our feeling of being caged.
I've held monthly women's circles, created entrepreneurial gathering spaces, and walked beside women one-on-one as they reclaim their inner authority. My clients include empowerment-curious women who are ready to stop asking everyone else for permission and start trusting themselves completely.
But my real credibility doesn't come from a certificate. It comes from this: I know what it feels like to be inside the boxes. I found the way out. And I've held enough women through the after to know that the path is different for everyone - which is exactly why I don't prescribe one.
How I Approach This Work
I believe most women aren't stuck because they're broken, unmotivated, or afraid of growth. They're stuck because they've learned to survive by abandoning themselves. Because their intuition has been repeatedly overridden by external authority. Because their nervous systems have been conditioned to equate worth with output. Because their self-doubt is a protective response - not a character flaw.
I prioritize:
Root causes over symptom management
Embodiment over intellectual insight alone
The client's own inner authority over mine
Slow, honest work over fast, performative transformation
Integration of the psychological and the spiritual — not one at the expense of the other
I intentionally avoid:
Positioning myself as the expert on your life
Offering prescriptions, strategies, or directives
Bypassing the human in the name of the spiritual
Stripping soul and intuition from inner work in the name of psychology
Moving faster than what honesty requires
My decision-making framework, both in how I work and how I run this practice, is this: does this honor the sovereignty of the woman in front of me? Does it return authority to her?
How This Work Unfolds
Step 1: Truth, not urgency.
The first conversation isn't a sales call. It's a moment to slow down, speak honestly, and explore what's actually asking for your attention - and whether this is the right container for that work.
Step 2: We go to the root.
We start with the patterns, parts, inherited beliefs, and protective strategies that have been running the show. Using IFS alongside embodiment, spirituality, and somatic awareness, we befriend what's been exiled rather than bypassing or fixing it.
Step 3: We restore inner safety.
Before a woman can trust herself, she needs to feel safe enough to hear herself. That safety lives in your nervous system, your knowing, your body .
Step 4: You reclaim your authority.
The insight that surfaces here doesn't come from me. It comes from you - held with enough care and structure that it can finally be heard. The goal is never for you to need me. It's for you to trust yourself more from within.
Step 5: Your life begins to reorganize.
Not because you forced it. Because you stopped managing yourself into shapes that didn't fit and started living from what's actually true for you.
Is This Work For You?
We’re a fit if:
You've already had a cracking-open moment and you're navigating the after
You're empowerment-curious—words like sovereignty stir something in you
You're willing to do real inner work and go to the root of your patterns
You want to trust yourself completely—your body, your intuition, your decisions
You're ready to stop placing your authority outside yourself
This isn't for you if:
You're looking for a quick fix or a prescribed formula
You want someone to tell you what to do
You're not ready to sit in discomfort or uncertainty
You need convincing—this work requires a yes that comes from inside you
If something in you is already moving
You don't need to feel ready. You don't need to have it figured out. You just need to be willing — willing to be honest, willing to slow down, willing to take one step toward yourself.
The free call is that step. It's not a pitch. It's a conversation. Come as you are.
You'll leave with more clarity — regardless of what we decide together.
